Quickly test ideas and gather feedback. Iterate based on learning to validate desirability, feasibility, and viability.
Built and tested prototypes. Validated solutions ready for refinement.
Focus on speed and learning over perfection. The goal is rapid iteration, not a polished product. Use the Prototype Report Card to document everything. Don't be afraid to let prototypes fail – that's how we learn!
Once you've decided what to prototype, it's time to test. Prototypes should convey an idea, not be perfect. Keep them small, scrappy, and inexpensive to get fast feedback and iterate quickly.

Here's how:

  1. Create a worksheet for each prototype using a Prototype Report Card. The top section aligns your team on learning goals and testing methods. The bottom section documents your learnings.

  2. Prototype ideas using storyboards, role plays, models, or mock-ups. Make something tangible to convey your idea.

  3. Test the prototype with end-users. Observe their interactions and document their feedback.
