Apply consistent evaluation criteria. Balance innovation with practicality. Objectively discuss ideas. Identify high-potential concepts.
NUF test scores, ideas evaluated by newness, usefulness, and feasibility, and prioritized ideas.
Have individuals score first, then discuss as a group. This works for analytical teams. Clarify what each criterion means in your context. Sometimes, teams get hung up on 'newness' if they're risk-averse.

  1. Create a table with ideas in rows and columns for New, Useful, Feasible, and Total. 2. Teams score each idea on a scale of 1-7 for each dimension. 3. New = originality. Useful = problem-solving effectiveness. Feasible = resource/capability fit. 4. Sum scores for totals. 5. Discuss top-scoring ideas and surprising results.
