Base POVs on research, not assumptions. Make the user specific and relatable. Focus on fundamental human needs. Ensure insights are surprising. Test POVs with "How might we..." to inspire ideas. Sometimes, teams struggle to move beyond surface-level needs; be prepared to offer clarifying examples.

  1. Review user research insights (10 min).

  2. Individually write POV statements using "User + Need + Insight" (15 min).

  3. Share and refine statements as a group (15 min).

  4. Select 1-2 strong POVs to guide ideation (5 min).
