  1. Choose the experience to simulate.

  2. Set up realistic constraints.

  3. Briefly explain the activity to participants.

  4. Start the simulation.

  5. Have participants complete real tasks within the simulation.

  6. Ask participants to note their feelings during the simulation.

  7. Debrief immediately after the simulation.

  8. Share insights and observations.

  9. Apply learnings to design and decision-making.
