Body language builds rapport. Be mindful of cultural differences in eye contact and proximity. Sometimes, silence is more powerful than words. Don't be afraid of pauses.
Interviews uncover user needs. Body language plays a crucial role. Active listening is as vital as the questions you ask. Avoid inserting your own experiences; focus on hearing and recording the participant's story.

  1. Match the interviewee's physical level. Sit on the floor if they are; stand if they are working.

  2. Maintain eye contact. Smile and nod to show you're listening.

  3. Take notes to signal attentiveness and appreciation.

  4. Resist the urge to fill silences with personal stories. Let the interviewee lead.
