Gather honest, actionable feedback on prototypes and ideas from target users. Keep users at the center of the design process. Gather insights to guide further development.

  • Prototype feedback

  • User and stakeholder input

  • Foundation for iteration

Test early and often. Be prepared to hear difficult feedback. Focus on learning, not defending your ideas. Use feedback to prioritize improvements. Sometimes, participants struggle to articulate their issues; probe deeper with follow-up questions.

  1. Present the prototype to users in interviews or co-creation sessions.

  2. Capture honest feedback. Assure participants that this is a learning tool and welcome negative feedback to create a safe environment.

  3. Gather diverse perspectives from different groups for varied reactions. Consider using the "Extremes and Mainstreams" principle.

  4. Document insights. Write down all responses, ask follow-up questions, and use the feedback to develop ideas further.
