UX Research Repository

A tagged, searchable board of past research findings, so studies stop getting quietly re-run.

What it is

Five zones: a study index, key insights tagged by theme, supporting evidence linked to each insight, recurring themes across studies, and open questions. Built to fix the ResearchOps problem of insights buried in individual decks that nobody can find later.

Reach for it when

  • A research request that turns out to duplicate a study run eighteen months ago
  • A research practice scaling past a handful of studies a year
  • A new hire needing user context that exists only in someone else's old deck

Running it

  1. Agree a tagging taxonomy — product area, method, theme, confidence level — before migrating a single study in.
  2. Backfill the Study Index with existing research, starting with the oldest or highest-value studies.
  3. For each study, extract the top 2-3 insights, tag them consistently, and link supporting quotes or clips.
  4. Set a lightweight per-study template every researcher fills in going forward, and assign an owner to keep it current.

Watch out: Skip the shared tagging taxonomy and the repository is unsearchable within months; fill it with raw transcripts instead of curated insights and nobody reads it — it's a practice with an owner, not a one-time board.
